Spider report.       

Introduction 

 Spiders are not insects they are arachnids.  They have eight legs and six eyes.

 Where spiders live 

Spiders live in bushes, trees, water, lakes, houses, and on you.  They also live under floors and leaves.

 

What spiders eat  

Spiders eat flies, other, spiders, moths, butterflies, and lots of insects.   They get their food by hiding under mud and leaves then attack for food.   

Appearance

 Spiders are arachnids not insects. Spiders have eight legs and insects have six.  Spiders have little sharp teeth and they inject venom into their prey.

 Behaviour 

 Spiders like to climb, jump and kill plus eating and sleeping.  

  Conclusion 

 I like spiders because they kill and I picked  spider because I  love that they can climb and kill.

gastro bug

Introduction

The Gastro bug has been in the public water for 2 weeks but we are chlorinating the water.   The sad thing about it is that an old lady died because of the bad water.   The schools were closed for a number of days in Havelock.

The bug got in the Hastings water, the Flaxmere water and Havelock water.

People in Havelock needed to boil their water or buy bottled water.

Now the council  is chlorinating the water.

Brochure Writing Work

Soccer Skills

Over the last few weeks, Room 19 has been learning soccer skills. My favourite is playing a game, and AJ has been helping us.  My least favourite is kicking the ball to a cone.  

You usually have to do five step ups. If you don’t know what step ups are, ask AJ.  Or maybe five star jumps - really good exercise. Maybe you could ask AJ if he can help you so you can get better at your soccer skills. But I like rugby more.

Headbutting sort of hurts my head, but it's still cool and awesome fun.

Dribbling	😊	I like dribbling because it's really easy.	Working cooperatively with a partner	😊	Me and my partner always agree and listen to each other.
Kicking accurately to a target or person	😓	I hate this one because I am not good at aiming.	Following Instructions	😊	It’s easy to listen because I always listen.
Heading the ball	😊	Heading the ball is fun.	Working well as a team	😊
Weaving in and out of cones	😊	Weaving out and in is cool because it gives lots of exercise	Playing a game	😊	I like playing a game because it's fun and I have fun with my friends.

Cross country

I enjoyed running around the field racing, chasing and sprinting.

I did not like it when people ran past me and I was getting tired.

I learnt that I should work on my running and sprinting.

I practised my running at brain

Food.

What I want to improve on is running faster and better.

     

Don’t take drugs like some of the Russians did.	We shouldn’t cheat because i know that new Zealanders don’t cheat.
If you don’t be honest your pretty much cheating.	Don’t cheat because it doesn't show respect to nz.

The people that are in the Olympics  should be honest

Imagine the people cheating we wouldn’t know who came first, second, or third, because it would be a disaster.

Firstly, we need to obey the rules’ because if we don’t it's just like cheating and it's not fair.

Secondly, we shouldn’t take drugs like some of the Russians did because we're not cheaters.

Thirdly, always be honest because if you don’t it's like you're cheating.

Fourthly, be honest never cheat don’t lie.

Dear Mr White,

In room 19 we have been picking up rubbish all around the school.   So here are some of the worse places in the school.  Room 8 and 9,   Room 16 to 21, the field,  the playground and by the kindy.  Here are the places where everyone goes. Me and Abbey are by the sandpit,  Georgia and Hannah are doing rooms 4 to 7 .  Tobey and Jake are by the kindy.    Elideen and Lachie are by 8 and 9.  Ryan and tahlia are by 10 to 14.  I think we should put more rubbish bins out around the school.

Swim Safe

On Thursday the 9 of June a lady called Melanie taught us about swim safety in the hall at 9:00.  She said when your in a little bit of trouble you put your hand up straight because if you wave your hand everywhere people will think you're waving at them but you will be drowning instead.  If you see someone drowning you get help or chuck a ball or a life jacket or a surf board.  If your parents say that you're going for a ride on your boat you need to say where's my life jacket and if your parents say you don't need one.  You say no I need a life jacket.  Plus if you're drowning  you cross your arms and roll up into a ball.  If you crash your boat everyone makes a circle and put  your hands on their back so everyone warms up because if you get too cold you get hyperthermia  and freeze to death.
